"I certainly don't feel down in any way shape or form—but I don't know what the word is. Tormented. Probably. By the thought of what might have been." Justin Rose on his runner-up performance at the Masters last weekend— or me waking up in a cold sweat playing back my trip last September in Bandon as I flirted with 100 every single round and completely forgot to how to swing a driver.

AppleTV+ dropped a teaser trailer for Stick

HAPPY GILMORE WHO???

AppleTV+ released a teaser trailer including actual footage from the upcoming golf-themed comedy Stick starring Owen Wilson. And any chance that there would be a real battle between this and Happy Gilmore 2 has been put to rest.

Stick will be excellent.

Click through the link above for the YouTube trailer but the only thing you need to know is that we're getting peak Wedding Crashers Owen Wilson energy. The clip shows Owen selling clubs to someone at a golf store as he gasses him up for being "country strong". He's the affable, fast-talking, schmooze-heavy Owen that I adore. And if this is any indication of the level of comedy writing we can expect across the entire series, we are in for a real treat.

June 4th can't come fast enough—especially since we're back in TV no man's land with White Lotus ending.

Which leads to the even more pressing question of... will Stick be able to top "THE COCONUT MILK IS OFF!"?

Airbnbs beware!

NELLY THE LEGOMASTER

Golf Digest surfaced Nelly Korda's latest hobby that she uses to relax while out on Tour—Legos.

“It’s just another way to get your minds off things... It’s very intricate,” Korda said.

For those who haven't dabbled in Legos in a while, I feel this so hard. We took Jack to Legoland for his birthday and obviously got roped into the gift shop on the way out where we told him to pick one set.

I figured he'd just grab a Cars-themed Duplo set or something. Easy peasy. 20 pieces.

Wrong. He grabbed a T-Rex with multiple pivoting limbs and what felt like 1,000 pieces the size of a pinhead. And yet, when we sat down to build, he was glued watching me work through the instructions, finding the next piece, and I went into a full-on trance.

Long story short. Legos are awesome.

Back to golf, it was a highly satisfying moment when I saw Nelly was in on them as well—sharing the image above as her latest creations.

But the best detail of her Lego story is that she plans to leave each creation behind in whatever Airbnb she's staying in as a sort of memorabilia/souvenir. So for those of you with your rental investment properties scattered around the country—keep an eye out for a little surprise from Nelly!

Post Office Stans

GOD SAVE THE QUEEN—AND RORY

I've mentioned a few times now how cool it is when entire nations get behind their athletes—and how America is weirdly one of the only countries, perhaps THE only country, that feels so comfortable with athletic success that we never really see much nationwide pride for American athletes winning around the world.

Meanwhile, in the United Kingdom, they stan hard. So much so that the Post Office stamped the message above on every piece of mail sent from Tuesday to Thursday this week in honor of Rory's Masters win to complete his Grand Slam.

Even the POST OFFICE got into it. Can you imagine your neighborhood delivery person rolling up to the mailbox, waving hi to you as you head off to work, and shouting Let's Go Scottie!

And on the note of Rory's Masters win—I am hard pressed to remember a more thrilling, up-and-down gambling moment in my life than that Sunday round. Just when I think I've lost all my math skills, I find myself at 2:38p on a Sunday, crunching numbers and balancing my portfolio. Okay so if Rory wins outright, that leaves me 28 units up, but if he takes second I still hit a top 5 but what if Patrick Reed dunks this eagle and gets in on the action?

I love every minute of it.

Speaking of pride for your country...

PARTY LIKE IT'S 1904

The International Olympic Committee made it official last week as they announced Los Angeles 2028 will introduce a new mixed-team event in golf!

Riviera Country Club will play host for all three competitions (men's, women's, and mixed) with the mixed event getting sandwiched between the men's and women's tournaments.

While rumors had been pretty positive this was coming, the IOC also announced formatting which should make for a pretty cut throat qualification process.

Only one team per nation—comprised of one man and one woman who are already qualified for the individual competitions.

It will be a 36-hole competition featuring 18 holes of foursomes (alternate shot) for the first round, followed by 18 holes of four-ball (best ball) for the final round.

I have zero idea what the best criteria is to decide which pair plays—global ranking feels most straight forward, but team vibes also feel highly relevant.

Regardless, my one request is that we get Min Woo and Min Jee. Come on, Australia, please!
